Die Begründung der Jury:

Zur Musik des aus Frankfurt stammenden Komponisten Ralf Hildenbeutel sind wilde Formationstänze zu sehen, in einer kleinen Kulturgeschichte verschiedener Tanzarten. Die ergreifende Melodie von Streichern über treibendem Klavierspiel, durchsetzt mit zarten Zupf- und Rasselgeräuschen und einer grandiosen Percussion verbreitet sofort Wohlgefühl und Lebensfreude - welche sich im fröhlichen, ausgelassenen, kreativen Tanz der Akteure im Bild widerspiegelt. Sowohl in der reichhaltigen Musik wie auch im Arrangement der Tanzaufnahmen hört, sieht und spürt man Poeten ebenso wie kreative Produzenten am Werk. Modernes und Klassisches schaffen vereint zu Herzen gehende Unterhaltung par excellence.

Phonovideo is a VJ tool or visual instrument used to display animations in an analog way without the help of a computer. “Stuck in a Groove” is the first film made with this technique, it serves also as a demo for the technique .

In the future phonovideo should be used for live performances in cooperations with musicians, performancers and other artists.

A lonely desk toy longs for escape from the dark confines of the office, so he takes a cross country road trip to the Pacific Coast in the only way he can – using a toy car and Google Maps Street View.

All screen imagery was animated - there are no screen replacements.

As Tell No One they experiment with video cameras. Intended to be a peek into their experimental process, posting their on-going ideas, inspirations and processes. Think of this as like an informal brainstorm.
They also shoot promos, commercials and fashion film together.

Their work collectively have been exhibited and screened in institutions big and small, around the world. From the Guggenheim Museum, New York to the British Film Institute, London.

Experiment No.9 is a collaboration with Tell No One and SHOWstudio. TNO was asked to create a fashion film to counterpart Nick Knight’s photography for AnOther magazine’s Spring/Summer 2011 issue.

A short film in paper by Leo Bridle & Ben Thomas.

Train of Thought was made as a graduation film from The Arts Institute at Bournemouth. Although digital compositing software was used, all the animation and models were done by hand, not with CGI. The film took approximately 9 months to complete, from storyboards through to the final edit.

The music is by Portico Quartet arranged by Jack Wyllie and sound design by Andrew South.

Who does not like looking out of the window while being in a bus?

Everything is shot handheld with an hd camera and a DIY 35mm adapter while sitting in one of those red vehicles of London.
